The Bauchi State University, Gadau Law Journal welcomes contributions that advance legal scholarship and contribute to the vibrant discourse within the legal community. We seek articles that demonstrate originality, depth, and relevance to contemporary legal issues.
Things We Do Not Publish
While we encourage diverse perspectives and innovative ideas, there are certain types of content that we do not publish. These include:
- Plagiarized or previously published work
- Submissions with offensive or discriminatory content
- Manuscripts that do not adhere to ethical research standards

Volume of Submissions and the Timing of Our Review Process
Due to the high volume of submissions we receive, the review process may take several weeks. We appreciate your patience during this time. Our editorial team carefully evaluates each submission to ensure quality and relevance to our journal’s focus.
Submission Guidelines
To submit your work for consideration, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Format: Submissions should be in Microsoft Word format, double-spaced, with Times New Roman font (12-point).
- Length: Articles should typically be between 8,000 and 12,000 words, including footnotes.
- Citations: Follow a NALT Citation Guide for referencing throughout your manuscript.
Presentation
The presentation of your work is crucial. Ensure that your manuscript is well-organized, clearly written, and free from grammatical errors. Proper citation and referencing are essential. Authors are encouraged to include an abstract summarizing the main points of their article.
Permissions
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce any copyrighted material included in their submissions. Please provide proper attribution for borrowed content and include necessary permissions with your submission.
